Ive created a client guide to help with your stress free session planning. To ensure easy and fun planning I have created a list of my clients favorites. Don't forget to have fun and show the real you.
Locations
DownTown Beaufort
Downtown Beaufort offers the true southern charm from the mossy oaks, to the big old houses, and the memorial swing bridge. There are tons of scenery options down the side streets, the bluff which features a tree rope swing and mossy oaks, or the waterfront the has views of the swing bridge and marsh lands!
Widgeon Point Preserve
Widgeon Point Preserve is one of my most booked locations! One of the most love features in the beautiful wooden barn. When the tide goes out the marsh is all open land to walk around on open sandy grounds. Maintained greenery and natural foliage helps create those dreamy images.
White Hall Park
White hall is a park that is located right over the down town swing bridge and offers tons of natural backgrounds of both the marsh and the southern oak trees. Off to the side this park includes a dock that views the downtown waterway marshland. P.S. it's pet friendly!
Hunting Island State Park Beach
This beach is South Carolinas most visited beach. It features the boneyard consisted of fallen trees caused by erosion. The beach has a thriving ecosystem and that stretches over 5 miles long. This pet friendly beach is best to book for a sunrise session but is just as gorgeous during golden hour. The north beach even offers a light house (fun fact it was featured in the Outer Banks TV Show)
Coffin Point in Saint Helena
This locations focuses on the historic mossy oak trees you maybe looking for. Tucked away in Saint Helena is a long dirt road to drive, photograph, and experience.
Time to pick an outfit!
Here's my opinion on what I think looks best:
Wear solid, pastels (pink, yellow, blue, sage green), neutral colors (creams, beige, navy, earth tones). Choose comfortable, well-fitting clothing that allows movement, such as flowy dresses or layered outfits. I strongly advise wearing comfortable and easy to walk shoes also. For family or group shoots, pick a cohesive color palette rather than matching outfits exactly.
Most importantly, wear clothes that make you feel confident and comfortable!
What to Avoid:
Logos/Brands: Large graphics or logos.
Bright Colors: Neon and fluorescent colors, which take away from your face and be distracting.
Busy Patterns: Tight stripes or crazy plaid, which can distort in photos.
Distractions: Avoid wearing hats, Big Bra straps, Apple Watches, or Sunglasses.
Hair Tips:
Hair gel and brush for the baby fly aways can help maintain hair throughout the session
Preparation Tips:
Please prioritize ironing or steaming your clothes, those small wrinkles can make the biggest difference. Make sure to check clothing for large stains before leaving home. Wearing gloss can help make your lips stand out!
MY PROCESS
Let's Chat - Inquire, get to know one another, discuss what you're most interested in, and signing a contract followed by a %50 retainer/deposit to secure your spot!
Plan - We will talk locations, outfit idea's, and discuss the must photos. This helps put the nerves at easy and make you a little more comfortable.
Session Day - Yay! It's the day to document these special memories. Prepare to let loose and be yourself capturing the true smiles and laughs.
Gallery Delivery - The waiting is the hardest part. Luckily you'll receive 48 hour sneak peeks to give you just a little something! Your full gallery will be sent in one week's time and ready to post, share, and cherish forever.
Make Your Photos Feel Like You, Bring a Prop!
Bringing props can help elevate your photoshoot and help tell the story. You can bring anything and everything you want to include in your images to share. Favorite flowers, your Bible, special jewelry, college flags, a ring box, ultrasound photos or baby shoes etc.
